Real-time orchestration
Design and programming of control systems to synchronise lighting, sound, video, machinery and animatronics. Redundant architecture, deterministic sequencers.
Darkvalley designs and develops immersive, interactive technical systems for cultural venues, attractions and permanent experiences.
From show control to networked audiovisual, by way of automation and visitor flow,
Darkvalley orchestrates what happens backstage to bring the experience to life.
Design and programming of control systems to synchronise lighting, sound, video, machinery and animatronics. Redundant architecture, deterministic sequencers.
Dante / AES67 audio infrastructure, multi-zone audio distribution, integration of lighting consoles and media servers. All of it on a dedicated IT network.
NFC, RFID, presence sensors, conditional pathways. Interaction that serves a purpose, never a gimmick. Connected individual lockers, invisible integration.
Technical architecture, prototyping, hardware selection, optical special effects, operational support. When off-the-shelf isn't enough, we build the bespoke tool.
Darkvalley supports every technical stage, from brief to maintenance,
with no reliance on an expert technician on site.
Interweaving dance, live and electronic music, mixed reality, video, lighting and sonic immersion (drawing on Ircam's cutting-edge technologies), and inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's emblematic tale of the same name (1847), L'Ombre resonates unsettlingly with our contemporary world and its innovations.
Facing the dancers and a percussionist, and wearing a mixed-reality headset, the audience wanders through a fantastical world where the tangible and the virtual blur into one.
A 57-minute performance.
