Julien PATRON-ZHANG
Brings installations, shows and attractions to life through automation.
Julien Patron-Zhang specialises in automation, audiovisual synchronisation, lighting and video playback for immersive installations, museums, creative studios and human-scale attractions. He designs systems that are reliable, elegant and narrative-driven, equally capable of orchestrating complex environments and lighter setups.
He has worked with institutions and brands such as the Palais de Tokyo, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, IRCAM and Blanca Li, building technical architectures that synchronise video mapping, lighting, spatial audio, sensors and automation, with a strong emphasis on documentation and project management. He works both with artists and cultural venues seeking advanced technologies and with industrial projects that demand robustness, supervision and redundancy.
Through Darkvalley R&D, he develops solutions dedicated to visitor flow management, in an approach where technology serves the experience, stays discreet and delivers a reliability inspired by theme parks and institutions, while remaining accessible, modular and maintainable.
